Resumen

The present article describes the background and the educational organization of the first subject on non-conventional medicine in the curriculum of the degree in medicine at Spanish university educational system. This subject allows medical students to acquire general knowledge of non-conventional medicine and its scientific basis, as revealed by basic and clinical research using the scientific method.
