Resumen

Teaching science in secondary school needs contextualizing tools in order to facilitate student learning. Interdisciplinary work is an exceptional teaching tool, but it needs a backbone that leads to the synergy of the involved subjects. Historical Memory can be used in the contextualization of the scientific subjects of Chemistry and Biology together with History and the subject of Culture and Ethical Values. This article presents a didactic innovation activity involving the use of three different languages and a holistic approach to teach and learn concepts such as chemical bond, formation of esters, DNA structure, and identification of missing persons. The design of the proposal allows students to solve practical cases of missing persons from the Spanish Civil War and listen and dialogue with journalists, scientists and human rights activists.
