Hacking the code : una aproximació indagadora a l'ensenyament del codi genètic, o seguint les passes de Nirenberg i Khorana

The article presents a didactic activity about the Genetic Code, based on three methodo-logic principles: Inquiry-based science education, creation and nature of the scientific knowledge , and reflection on the learning process. The activity reproduces the strategy of the original experience developed by Nirenberg and Khorana. Results on the didactic ap-plication are discussed in the frame of the education for citizenship and show this strategy to be a good approach to introduce the topic of the central dogma of molecular biology in the school.
