Resumen
During the last stages of the Spanish War of Succession the catalan printing industry was badly damaged, despite by then it had recovered the level of production of the period before the conflict. Nevertheless, the siege of Barcelona, that lasted from 1713 to 1714, caused a halt on the activity of most of the printing offices, and also significative material looses, due to the bombings. After that, the repression and the fiscality adopted by the new bourbon administration, complemented with some changes in the legislation, made more dificult to printers to do their job, to the point that production did not start to recover until ten years after the end of the war. In addition, the damage done by the bombs and the repression forced the begin of the end of Rafael Figueró printing office, who had been the engine of the editing industry in Catalonia.
