De la Ville Radieuse a la smart city. Le Corbusier y Barcelona

Something that is interesting and evocative about the post-Franco reconstruction of the city is discovering the rhetorical, project and practical uses that derive from it. Some of the joint proposals of the architects of the gatcpac and Le Corbusier were recovered, such as the joint ideation of the plan and the functional solutions; but denying or ignoring the foundations of the new urban economy - considered by its authors as essential for the deployment of said plans - and, ultimately, also ignoring the revolutionary phase as it has been interpreted here [...] The last Of these attempts to pass off neo-liberal cats as progressive hares, the uncritically applauded by mayors from across the political spectrum Smart City, has re-founded the chameleonic art of technocracy to try to prevent us from seeing the coldest and despotic face of power: the one that discredits , humiliates and alienates the popular sovereignty of its faculty to deliberate and determine the course of the city. And do it all in the name no longer of technicians, architects, urban planners or engineers, but of technology and ingenuity.
