Resumen
Acoustic Wave technologies have been traditionally the most suitable solution to microwave filters for end-user applications due to the reduced size and high performance. However, standard technologies are not able to face new released 5G bands due to inherent limitation in the achievable bandwidth. Functional materials as LiNbO3 operating in particular modes with specific cut and rotation angle can overcome such limitation. This paper explores the main characteristics of this material using multiphysics 3D simulations and provides rule of thumbs for an optimum design.
