Resumen

The article aims to describe AVT-LP (Audiovisual Translation Learning Platform), a new tool devised by a team made up of researchers from both the translation and engineering departments at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona which looks to foster self-learning in the main modes of audiovisual translation (dubbing, subtitling, voice-over, audio description, subtitling for the deaf and hard-of-hearing). The entire project development process is presented, with the article describing the main phases and showing in detail the final results as well as the end users' feedback.
