Resumen
Guttural pouch lavages were obtained from slaughtered and live horses with use of a percutaneous approach through the Viborg's triangle. Lavage was effective and easy to perform in live horses, and no adverse reactions were observed. Tranquilizers were not required. Recovery of lavage fluid ranged between 25% and 75% of the injected sample in live horses.
