Resumen
The article focuses on a study of Emily Dickinson’s world picture
representation in Ukrainian poetic translations performed by D.Pavlychko,
H.Kochur, M.Strikha, M.Hablevych and others. It highlights the influence of
the objective (partial convergence of the language systems involved) and
subjective (the peculiarities of the translators’ styles) factors on the
equivalence achieved by Ukrainian translators.
