The present study is aimed at retracing and analysing the professional trajectory of Roberta Rambelli (1928-1996) in her triple activity of writer, editor and translator in the field of Italian science fiction. The main objective is to reclaim her figure and place her in a prominent position both within the science fiction canon and within the Italian cultural canon. Secondly, Roberta Rambelli’s analysis intends to frame her in her context, focusing in particular on the period in which the Italian science fiction community emerges and develops. Through an interdisciplinary approach, this thesis leads to the discovery of one of the main voices of Italian science fiction and a prominent figure during the period of emergence and consolidation of this narrative form in Italy.
