The main aim of this research is to characterize and analyze the assets process accomplished by Teachers of General Basic Education of Municipal Schools in district of La Union- Chile._x000D_ On the basis of design and build of an exploratory questionnaire on learning assets process, and semi-structured interviews on the evaluation process applied to Teachers of General Basic Education, applied face-to-face._x000D_ This investigation is based over a population of 170 teachers, distributed in a stratified probabilistic sample and other no probabilistic sample, this allowed surveying to 125 teacher of distric of La Union. Answers provided describe and interpret assessment processes developed by teacher, given the importance and after affects in concordance with the principles of the Education Reform Act the National System of Quality Assurance_x000D_ The results showed that teachers develop more traditional evaluation processes to assess, with an exclusive focus student. Confirmed that teachers who give more importance to the assessment they develop good assessment practices. It confirms that good assessment practices do not affect the approval of the student porcentajec. Similarly, notes that the concepttualization of teacher evaluation that incident has on the perpeption of good assessment practices. Finally, techars with higher competence levels do not necessarily implement best assessment practices. Stresses the importance of evaluation and its contribution to the overall student learnig.
