Student thesis: Doctoral thesis

In this thesis some aspects of the historical development of set theory are tackled, since its birth in the 1870s until the beginning of the second World war in 1939, making stress in Varsovia, in the period from 1920 to 1939, in the journal Fundamenta Mathematicae and in the Sierpi´nski’s work.
