Identificación del Burnout asociado a profesiones sanitarias y del retail

Abstract

The thesis "Burnout identification associated with health professions and retail" was the result of_x000D_ research work starting in 2002, for the purpose of conducting research in the field of health and_x000D_ quality of life at work. Throughout nearly a decade I was focusing my research in this field,_x000D_ combining different research activities (study and analysis, publishing articles and attending_x000D_ scientific events). Since 2009 I focused on the study of psychosocial risks in other groups of_x000D_ professionals, also related to the service sector, but from a more commercial side. Since 2012,_x000D_ together with the research group Petro-vipat of the Faculty of Psychology of the UAB, research_x000D_ has been focusing on the retail trade sector or (as it is known internationally)._x000D_ This thesis contains the research work carried out over more than a decade in the field of_x000D_ occupational health. Initially, from the perspective of psychosocial risks, and later from the aspect_x000D_ of Positive Psychology, focusing on the aspect of positive psychology. The key field was to_x000D_ highlight the protective and / or generate "engagement" factors. Research has addressed various_x000D_ professional groups related to the treatment of people from a more commercially oriented care_x000D_ (first phase) or (in the second stage)._x000D_ The main results of the thesis deepens on some of the key issues in the scientific literature about_x000D_ how can conceptualize burnout? or what extent the dimensions of burnout are interrelated_x000D_ between them?. I hope that in the future, this work promotes a new understanding of the_x000D_ phenomenon of burnout in enterprises and contribute to building healthier work environments.
