The present thesis is a critical edition of the Greek text of Heraclitus the Mythographer known as Perí Apíston (on unbelievable tales), an opuscule that analyzes and interprets 39 Greek myths from the rationalist and allegorical point of view. This edition is the first that offers a textual, mythological and mithographical commentary. In addition it is accompanied with a Catalan translation and abundant explanatory notes. It also contributes new textual and parallel testimonies of enormous importance for the correct reading of the text, liberating it of the hypercorrections of the previous edition, made by N. Festa in 1902. In a general vision but with a detailed analysis of each chapter, the text recovers its place in the mythographical tradition, whereas is fruit of the cultural appearance of II‐III AD centuries and the importance of the mythical versions that contributes in relation to this tradition shown.
