Multimodal literacy learning is a key issue for today's society. The contribution, which, among others, is offered by the illustrations or drawings of the children themselves, is a source of wealth to be able to study and come to understand the difficulties they may have in this complex learning process. This Thesis use the concept of Experiences with Aesthetic Quality (EwAQ), a concept developed by Dewey in several of his books, as a tool for innovation and reflection within the context of Catalan education legislation. The study focuses on the representation of EwAQ through children's drawing to test their potential as an instrument in the acquisition of literacy at an early age._x000D_ _x000D_ A qualitative methodology was used, in particular, the case study with a sample of 175 students from an innovative school with children from eight different groups from P4 Kindergarden to 2nd Primary obtaining a total of 525 drawings. An emerging approach was applied to obtain and analyse the categories obtained. For the analysis of the drawings, he relied on Lowenfeld's (1947) theory of development. After performing two interventions, a comparison was made between the EwAQ and the standard drawings._x000D_ _x000D_ The results obtained show that students both in Kindergarden (56,76%) and Primary (54,74%) progressed in the process of learning to read and write thanks fo the help of EwAQ. In addition, it can be stated that almost 90% of the students evolved positively in learning to read and write, this also includes those children with individualized schedules._x000D_ _x000D_ In conclusion, it can be said that this work has contributed to the multimodality of learning to read and write by providing a new tool, with the use of EwAQ, offering new channels of communication with students while serving as a tool to teachers to experiment with new ways of learning.
