In Spain it thinks that 20 % of the pairs in reproductive age have problems of sterility. The etiology of the above mentioned pathology is very varied but, in outline, 40 % is of feminine origin, 40 % is of masculine origin and 20 % is of mixed reason. Of between the reasons of feminine origin, the fallopian tubes pathology constitutes about 40 % of these. _x000D_ The hysterosalpingography is the complementary exploration more widely used nowadays for the diagnosis of the tubal patency that presents a sensibility of 93 % and a specificity of 90 % with regard to the laparoscopic findings. _x000D_ The transvaginal ultrasound is the test most extended to value any pathology of uterine origin and / or anexial origin. _x000D_ The hysterosalpingosonography is an ultrasound exploration that allows to value the uterine cavity, the tubal patency and, in addition, any pathology of ovarian origin and provided that the above mentioned test is realized by the gynaecologist, actually, it realizes two tests in one since it values the uterine cavity, the tubal patency and the ovaries saving time the patient and obtaining more information on the part of the professional. _x000D_ The tests have been realized radiological, hysterosalpingography, and ultrasound, hysterosalpingosonography, in a total of 105 patients and the results they have demonstrated one not inferiority of the hysterosalpingosonography respect the hysterosalpingography in the study of the internal feminine genitalia obtaining more information with the ultrasound test.
