Addressing climate change requires an integrated approach that considers impacts, adaptation, and mitigation policy. In this thesis, I contribute to the literature on each of these subfields. In what refers to climate change impacts and adaptation I i) provide new, individual-level data, on exposure to environmental hazards, linked to numerous outcome variables and ii) demonstrate this data can be used to answer questions on the impacts of climate change and the role of adaptation and other mediating factors. I look into the impacts of heat on mental health outcomes, and how effective Air-Conditioning is in minimizing these effects. Then, I consider how concerned individuals are with climate change, and how they might become more so as they experience temperature anomalies and witness increased global, political attention to the matter. Concern is a precondition for policy support. From studying this enabling condition for policy action, I turn to studying mitigation policy. In keeping with the overarching goal of informing climate policy by aggregating and analysing pre-existing data, I conduct a meta-analysis of the synergy between carbon pricing and renewable-energy policies in ex-ante economic modeling studies.
