Abstract

This project explores a different way of disseminating the information kept in historical archives: applying to it the concepts, tools and methods of open data. To do so, we will use the correspondence register of the municipal government of Girona from the years 1410-1411, which will be used to carry out a proof of concept. The necessary treatment will be applied to this documentary unit in order to open the data it contains. The information will be compiled and a dataset will be created, which will later be published in a portal. Some of the possibilities offered by open data in terms of visualizations are also explored.
