Abstract

This thesis has three parts. The first of these provides a synthetic Theoretical Framework on Knowledge Management within the company and on the Organisational Culture Directed at Sharing what is inherent to this. The author of the thesis proposes a Model for Initiating a Process of Cultural Auditing within the Company, based on Cultural Change. The second part covers the development of an empirical research project carried out through the ethnographical method, as well as the results obtained through this. Duran undertakes the Cultural Auditing of a High Technology company with respect to Knowledge Management. The third part sets out the conclusions to this research and the related suggestions, in accordance with the question under discussion. The first proposal deals with the role that an Education graduate should play in the ambit of Knowledge Management within the Company. The author then makes a specific proposal for initiating a Global and Formal Process of Knowledge Management within the company studied, basing this upon the Cultural Auditing that has been undertaken.
