ARTERIAL has been developed to enable advanced automatic analysis of vascular anatomy with potential applications for stroke endovascular treatment planning during the acute phase. This thesis aims to develop and use a suite of tools for vascular characterization to study the impact of arterial tortuosity on endovascular treatment, targeting the application of impossible transfemoral access to the intracranial vasculature in stroke thrombectomy as its main application.
