This dissertation analyses oral production of Korean students learning Spanish. The objective is systemising their pronunciation mistakes to determine probable causes and the degree of influence of their mother tongue. Therefore, two oral expression corpora were designed: one for application in laboratory and the other, for spontaneous expression of 8 lower-intermediate level Korean students and a control group of 8 students of Mexican Spanish. Korean and Spanish phonetics and phonology are described in the first chapter. A contrastive analysis of the two languages is presented and teaching material focused on student interlanguage phonics with a phonetic, contrastive linguistic and error analysis approach. This research focuses on teaching methodology, aiming at contributing to developing strategies which enable Korean students to develop and improve their phonetic skills. It also provides the possibility of creating technological tools for improving Korean speakers' ELE pronunciation.
