    Abstract

The variations of the allometric relationship between organ and body weight has been studied in the dogfish Scyliorhinus canicula, after treatment with cadmium (25 ppm for 4 days and 10 days and 50 ppm 4 days). Results showed a significant influence mainly on hepatosomatic, pancreas and kidney treatment. These results are discussed in relation to detoxification mechanisms in fish.
