Abstract

© 2015, Ediciones Ergon SA. All rights reserved. There are special situations where vaccination recommendations and guidelines should be adapted to each circumstance. In this article recommendations, contraindications and vaccination schedules indicated in pregnancy and preterm infants are reviewed. Likewise, the recommendations for use of vaccines in postexposure prophylaxis for a vaccine-preventable disease are discussed. Finally, vaccines indicated in adults working in regular contact with children, such as child care caregivers and health-care workers of pediatric areas are listed. Many of the issues discussed in the paper are a frequent reason for consultation in daily practice, so in addition to updating the theme is intended to give the reader some useful guidelines.
