Abstract
The article describes an Inquiry didactic sequence on Plate Tectonics. Students ar e asked to reconstruct thegeologic evolution of an imaginary planet by correlating different kinds of data (geographic distribution of fossils, orogens age, seismic regions...) discovering the positions of the plates and the changes suffered by the continents.Though the activity, several classroom dynamics and didactic scaffolds are set to promote dynamics of creationof scientific knowledge and contents sistematization to reach the final goal: to perform a science disseminationvideo describing the geological history of this imaginary planet.
