Abstract

Teacher training must develop in specialist teachers skills for these through educational practice promote training pathways tailored to the needs of students with intellectual disabilities and achieve social and professional integration. This research is about the job training teacher profile that caters to young people with intellectual disabilities in a specific center. The applied instruments provide information about teacher education, functions performed in job training, the perception of students with disabilities and labor integration, as well as training needs perceived by teachers. The results show that the lack of training in job training impact on educational practice, regarding the selection of content, strategies and evaluation process, as well as collaborative work with faculty and multidisciplinary team.
