Abstract
The metaverse has the potential to extend the physical world allowing users to seamlessly communicate and interact in a new virtual ecosystem. Yet, it is paramount to ensure that these immersive experiences are accessible to all users regardless of their needs. This paper presents some key aspects to be considered when developing a metaverse for all, reporting on the information gathered to develop two technical specifications approved at ITU Focus Group on metaverse.
