Abstract

The first chiral solvating agent without NMR signals, the perdeuterio 2,2,2-trifluoro-1-(9-anthryl)ethanol, was tested with several enantiomer mixtures. Its behaviour is similar to that of Pirkle alcohol but improving chiral recognition experiments done by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy.
