    Abstract

    The appearance of new players Cuatro and laSexta in the analogue TV market has not only modified the balance among the different channels but has had an impact on the independent production segment. This article quantifies this impact comparing the last season without these new entrants and the first one with them, tracing patterns of independent production supplying in the Spanish market. The text shows how the appearance of these new actors has had the effect to increase the volume of production but it has not supposed a significant change in the market share.
