© Patronat d’Estudis Osonencs Maria Angels Anglada is, after Mercè Rodoreda, the most widely translated Catalan writer. Her work can be read in almost twenty languages, largely due to the international diffusion she had since 2007, when Catalan culture was the guest of honor at the Book Fair in Frankfurt. A great expert on the craft of translating, she always valued the work of her translators. A first approach to Anglada’s poetry and prose in other languages allows us to see the different roles that each translation plays and develops in the arrival literature, always linked to the reception of ethical and cultural references.
