Abstract
© Patronat d'Estudis Osonencs. The purpose of this article is to analyze the archeological work of Josep Sala i Molas, focusing on three main areas: his excavations, the creation of his private collection of archaeological materials and the significance of that collection within the nascent institutionalization of Catalan archaeology at the beginning of the 19th century under the leadership of Pere Bosch Gimpera. In order to carry out the research, we have analyzed both his bibliographic production and the relevant archival documentation concerning his archaeological collection.
