A full structural and stereocheinical assignment was achieved for several diastereoisomeric oxaspiro[4.4]nonane derivatives by the concerted use of modern gradient-based 1D and 2D experiments. The clean NOE data quickly obtained from high-quality GROESY spectra together with proton and carbon chemical shift correlations afforded the main clue in such stereochemical elucidations.
