Abstract

We give a method for obtaining renormalized electronic structures arising from quasiparticle band structures of actual Hubbard systems, using some of the self-energies deduced in paper I of this series. The quasiparticle band structures are determined from an appropriate modification of the augmented plane-wave method, and the renormalized density of states is found from the spectral functions. We calculate the quasiparticle structure of a Ce system, which presents the three characteristic types of resonances of the pseudogap regime mentioned in paper I of this series and also the electronic structure of Y-Ba-Cu-O, which seems to display the characteristics of a standard Fermi liquid or a marginal Fermi liquid. © 1993 The American Physical Society.
