Abstract

In this paper, we intend to analyse the management of water resources (irrigation and drainage) in golf courses. In particular, attention will be given to the saving measures adopted to improve water consumption and to the regional policies regulating the use of water in golf courses. Examples showing the advantages of reusing water supplies will be provided. Finally, I will discuss the recent measures and actions to save water developed in the Q-Plus Protocol for Golf Courses: an objective and independent quality assessment benchmark.
