Abstract
Fraternity is a political idea with a long historical trajectory and forms part of the birth of modern politics during the period of the French Revolution together with the ideas of freedom and equality. However, fraternity has received very little attention from contemporary political philosophy. In this article, I make a conceptual analysis of the political idea of fraternity in order to identify the common and distinctive elements of it.
