Abstract

Resented because the short repercussion and zero interest shown by the (Critical) Geography of the United States towards the bombing of Al Qaeda in Madrid, the travel book of Margarita del Vez (attendant to the 100th Conference of the Association of American Geographers) reproaches not only that geographical knowledge is still commercialized and placed at the power's will, but soon becomes a new sort of «ignorant knowledge», when context and ideology are taken away. Deconstructing formal «scientific» narrative, this texts pretends to be also a report against the fact that academy ignores reality, just to keep forms and conventions.
