Abstract

A lab scale biotrickling filter called gaseous-liquid respirometer (GLR) was used to characterize the main biofiltration properties of a representative sample of packing material from a H 2S operating biotrickling filter. Abiotic and biotic short term experiments besides a simplified mathematical model allowed estimating the external mass transport and bio-kinetic parameters.
