Abstract
In a previous paper [1] the existence of a class of transformations of the time derivatives of the dissipative fluxes was remarked. These transformations leave invariant the entropy production of extended irreversible thermodynamics. Our purpose in this note is to get some further insight into the physical significance of these transformations by applying the corresponding constitutive equations to the specific problem of the heat propagation in a rotating metallic cylinder. © Copyright by Walter de Gruyter & Co.
