Abstract
To meet the demands for teachers with intercultural competence and increasing opportunities for study abroad, a consortium of nine partners are developing a joint teacher training graduate degree with key axes: teaching practice abroad (TPA) and intercultural communicative competences (ICC). After preliminary analysis of policy documents related to practice teaching in all the partner institutions, along with the revision of results from similar projects, a framework for the TPA and ICC module was designed, using concepts from Bourdieu for the theoretical groundwork and Bennett for the pedagogical structure. The layout and the piloting of the module are discussed in this article. © 2010 Taylor & Francis.
