The study deals with the selection of the best granular activated carbon (GAC) for the drinking water process of the Ter drinking water treatment plant (DWTP), by means of the comparison of 4 different types in a new pilot plant. It is necessary due to the changes on the market of the GAC in the last years and to the appearance of new manufacturers and/or distributors with origin on new markets, which they affect so much to the processes of purchase and reactivation.
