Abstract
Describes the stratigraphical succession, recognising point bar, braided stream, channel and floodplain deposits. While the Upper Permian-basal Triassic has a "sublithoarenitic' "quartzarenitic' character, the Upper Buntsandstein is made of "subarkosic' deposits. For the Upper Permian the source areas are "metasedimentary'. The petrographic character of the basal Triassic deposits is the same as for the Permian, although they could be recycled Permian sediments as well. In the Upper part of the Buntsandstein we notice a slight influx of "cristaline' sources ("granitic-gneissic' grains). -from English summary
