Abstract

In this article we introduce a research line which principal aim is to describe and to understand teaching and learning processes. Research priority is given to inquiring on instructional triangle (teacher, learner and teaching object). It does it through discourse analysis. Discourse analysis is meant to be the backbone of learning interaction in every knowledge field, and it does it in connection with different psychology fields. Starting from the Language Teaching perspective, four thematic vigorous research focus are to be considered. The first one is interaction in classroom environment for second language learning. The second thematic focus is on teaching and learning writing. The third focus is about metalinguistic activity and grammar teaching process. Last but not least is teacher training on language teaching in a multilingual environment. All this fields joined together touch a wide range of issues linked to other broad spectrum areas of knowledge.
