Abstract

Using the MINDO/3 method the reactions of acrolein with 1-methylbutadiene and cyclopentadiene catalyzed by boron trifluoride have been studied. From the results obtained, an interpretation of the simultaneous increase of reactivity and selectivity in catalyzed Diels-Alder reactions is given. © 1985.
