Abstract

The cluster cation of [(PtMe3)3{μ-I, μ-S(CH2)2NHEt2}2]I. CH3CN has a cubane type structure, [(PtMe3)4(μ-I, μ-SR)2], but lacking one PtMe3 vertex. Each platinum atom exhibits octahedral coordination, one sulphur is triply bridging, the other sulphur and the two iodine atoms are doubly bridging. © 1993.
