Abstract

Sexually transmitted diseases (STD) are a health problem in the population for their high incidence and prevalence. The efforts to control this type of diseases should concentrate on avoiding their transmission, recommending conducts that avoid this mechanism, such as the use of methods, principally barrier, when the carrier state of the partner is unknown. There exist collectives such as those of the prostitution, via parenteral drug users and adolescents, in which because of their greater vulnerability we must try to influence even more if possible, with the use of advice or preventive methods.
