Abstract
The aim is to systematize the practices and evaluation strategies of teachers evaluated as excellent by their students and principals in a training framework based on competences. After some years of experience in this approach in the university of study, and to teachers evaluated as excellent, interviews are carried out, in the framework of a qualitative investigation. From the discourse analysis, categories of analysis are recovered that describe strategies, instruments, ways of managing the evaluation, as well as difficulties. This information found shows that there has been a learning process on the part of the teaching staff, marking styles and ways of carrying out this process. Currently, evaluation is part of the training process and in accordance with conceptions and actions linked to feedback, the opportunity for improvement, encouraging metacognitive processes and strategies linked to situations of authentic evaluation. It is these according to the teachers that enhance the development of competences.
