Abstract
We have investigated the infrared activity of AgGaSe2 from polarized infrared reflectivity spectra collected at 300 K, in the range 50-450 cm-1. Of the nine infrared active modes predicted by group theory, only three Γ4 and four Γ5 modes have been observed. The analysis of data permits to clear up some discrepancies concerning both, the energy position and the TOLO splitting of some modes previously reported by other authors. © 1989.
