Phase-dependent scaling law for signal amplification near period-doubling bifurcation

Abstract

Presented are the results of experimental investigation of the influence of the perturbation phase on the scaling law for the amplification of output power at the perturbation frequency near the PDB point. The results show a π-periodical dependence of the scaling law on the perturbation phase. Also presented is experimental evidence of the deformation of the bifurcation diagram resulting from the resonant perturbation. It is demonstrated that small resonant perturbations at a specific phase can produce a shift of the bifurcation diagram in all bifurcation points.
