Abstract

A total of 324 journalists have been murdered in the world in the last decade. Starting from this, the work presents an investigation based on 26 journalists with a trajectory of more than 10 years in the coverage of violence in different countries of the Latin American region. The objective is to analyze the perception of Latin American journalists about the exercise of the profession in conflict contexts. The methodological proposal has applied two research techniques: the in-depth interview and the Delphi method. The study concludes that journalists value the formation of networks, but question alliances with other types of civil society actors; and warns about the situation of women journalists and the need to renew the curricula of communication schools.
