Abstract

The authors present the casuistry of ovarian tumour processes (in girls less than 7 years of age) in the Surgery Department of the State Social Security Children's Hospital in Barcelona, with a total of 13 cases. They make a statistical analysis and study their nature, diagnoses and accompanying symptoms, paying special attention to the malignant forms and those with endocrine disorders. There follows a bibliographic review and an explanation of the classifications made by the WHO and FIGO for these tumours. They discuss diverse treatments and the course of therapy to be applied.
