Abstract
Starting from the generalized entropy of extended irreversible thermodynamics, we study the influence of the electric current on the probability of finding a system in a state of given energy and electrical conductivity. As an application, we study the probability of open and closed pores in a membrane. © 1986 American Institute of Physics.
